After approx. 15 lessons each with Manny, my brother and I passed our drive tests on our first attempts. Both of us have had our Learners for years but hadn't driven much after a bad experience with a different driving school. Manny is patient and a great instructor. He taught us in different environments (eg. hook turns in the CBD, freeway, tram tracks in Carlton, night driving) and taught us fool proof techniques to reverse parallel park, reverse park and perform a three point turn. Thanks to him I feel comfortable driving in all sorts of conditions.

I had approximately 12 lessons with Daniel & passed my test the first time. I am in my 40s & it was the first time I had ever driven so I was extremely nervous & anxious which wouldn’t have been easy for poor Daniel-he took it all in his stride & was very patient & informative enabling me to have the courage to achieve becoming a good driver. I would love to recommend John, to anyone who is new to driving and is a slow learner on the roads like I was. John is extremely patient and takes the time to teach you. He provides great advice and tips- not just to pass the test, like many instructors do, but to be safe drivers on the road. With his guidance, I passed my test in the 1st try.

I can't recommend Strive2Drive highly enough. Paul my instructor was friendly and extremely professional. He helped me feel safe and at ease on the road as well as developing the skills that I needed to pass my driving test first time. I did my test in Carlton and found that the practive sessions I did with Paul around the area beforehand meant that I was fully prepared on the day.

I have driven with four instructors in my lifetime and Ralene is the best instructor I have met! I first met Ralene in 2015 and had to stop our lessons as I couldn't afford it. When we met again this June, I felt like I wasn't allowed to be on the road. I met the wrong instructors earlier in the year and they made me feel doubtful about my ability. Ralene did quite the opposite by instilling hope and confidence in me so that I could be a confident person who knows my worth and a confident driver who will travel safely and abide by road rules. She helped an anxious person, who felt unsafe on the road, find peace while driving. I will never forget the advice she's given me, namely to break it down, drive according to what I see and to not follow drivers who are breaking the rules. I passed my first and only driving test on the 30th of October, YAY! I waited a long, long time to get here. Ralene has changed my life for the better and I believe she has a lot to offer the Strive2Drive business and their students.

Curtis is now the 3rd kid to praise your driver Phil. They all love him and said they learn a lot and that its small things like coming up to a speed limit sign and him saying a split second before it what's the speed limit to keep them on their toes. They say he has taught them more then any other instructor that they have used. Just thought it would be nice to let him know that he is doing a great job.

I was so grateful to have had Phil as my driving instructor, because of him I successfully passed my driving test. Phil gave me confidence and gave me a reason to not be afraid of being on the road, he taught me everything I needed to know such as how to park a car, three point turn and reverse parallel parking. Phil is extremely supportive and will definitely give you a lot of hope and confidence before the test! After failing a drive test at Carlton, I felt like I couldn't drive anymore. Though I know the rules and practise well, I panic. My previous driving instructor, showed all sorts of stressful expression during my test and that was one reason for my failure. While I searched for a very good driving school, in fact my google search for a F1 driver gave me the strive2 drive link. I booked in my first lesson with DANIEL and I started driving in 80s and 100 zones. All I told is that I should gain confidence. Daniel is very cool and easy going. He is quite flexible with timings aswell. it was just a month ago I joined classes with him. He trusted me more than myself. He can easily study a student for their skills, positive and negatives and he fine tune you appropriately. He doesn't seem to be a teacher whose eyes are always on you, but you do the smallest mistake and he will be there to correct you. He sitting next to me gave a very good confidence and his tips and tricks have made me now into a successful smart driver, who can drive vigilant for everybody's safety. Learning driving with Daniel is fun and sitting for a drive test with him is even more awesome. he is a cool trainer who keeps everybody with their coolness and progress well. My Melbourne dad. I cannot begin to thank you for everything you have taught me over the last few months of driving together. Not only how to become a safe & aware driver but also many life lessons that i will forever be grateful for. After moving down here from NSW (where i went through over a million careless driving instructors) i lacked the confidence and motivation to get my license. I always pictured myself driving but never actually believed i would ever accomplish it. This i think was mainly because of all the previous driving instructors i had. My confidence was shot, i did not feel comfortable & i just had such a low faith in myself. This changed as soon as i had my first lesson with what appeared to be a big friendly giant with a funny accent. Emmanuel you have taught me how to become such a safe driver and constantly be aware on the roads, you took me driving to places normal instructors wouldn't for example highways, massive roundabouts, narrow back lanes etc and i am so very thankful for that (no matter how much i whinged), you taught me how to read the roads and to "follow the lights not the losers". You are one of the most patient people i have ever met and also one of the most caring. I look up to you and so should other driving instructors, you truly are one of a kind and have this incredibly fierce determination to help, motivate and inspire people. I've had my license now for a few weeks now and every time i get in my car i think of how hard and crazy the beginning of my journey was, then i think about how easy, hilarious and insightful my lessons were with Emmanuel and i'm forever grateful for all his knowledge.

I was an older, nervous learner who had gone through a couple of different driving instructors before I found Emmanuel through Strive2Drive. We agreed at the onset that Emmanuel would teach me to be a safe driver rather than merely pass the test. True to his word, Emmanuel took me to places and situations that real-life driving required, such as tricky roundabouts, shopping centre parks and freeway entry and exits. His skills, dedication and professionalism impressed me. He has a great coaching style and interesting techniques. For example, rather than simply correcting me on a particular response to a situation, he would come up with drills and funny phrases and stories to make it stick. Emmanuel really cares about making the roads safer for everybody and takes every opportunity to also educate other road users who are ignorant of the rules or choose to flout them. I have gained significant skills and confidence under Emmanuel's tutelage. I highly recommend him to anyone who wants to learn how to be a safe, competent and considerate driver on the roads.

I took 10 driving lessons with Phil Kumar. His calm composure helped me to gain confidence. He was very punctual and was always there on time. He took me in all the test routes during non-peak and peak hour traffic. On the whole, I learnt how to become a good driver from Phil and would definitely recommend him.

Paul was an incredible driving instructor who made me feel comfortable, confident behind the wheel and made my lessons lots of fun. He planned each lesson in accordance with my skills, but also made sure to challenge me as well. He was always willing to answer questions and explain things in detail that I didn't understand. In the weeks leading up to my test, I found the practice routes we did in 'test mode' to be very helpful for learning the test criteria and getting comfortable on the test routes. On test day I felt confident and comfortable behind the wheel and passed the first time. I would highly recommend Strive to Drive and in particular Paul.

What can I say about Emmanuel? In fact, a more appropriate question would be: "Where do I begin!" Armed with a heart of gold, Emmanuel is one of the kindest, most modest, and most caring people you will ever have the pleasure of meeting. This gentle demeanor of his really put me to ease behind the wheel. Before my lessons with him, I was really nervous about driving and lacked confidence. From the onset, he made me feel safe, knowing that he was there to correct any of my mistakes, and I soon became more comfortable behind the wheel (without being cocky!). Before we entered any situation, he would give me a thorough rundown of what to expect and the type of things to look our for; he always stressed on safety. In saying this, he would also give me numerous opportunities to show my understanding of his explanations by putting me into all kinds of real-life situations. Although I only had a 5 package, plus 1 keys to drive lesson, he ensured that I was exposed me to a variety of different traffic conditions which has and will continue to benefit me with my future driving. I could go on and on about Emmanuel but I will end by saying that he is an asset for your company and I will be forever grateful that I was matched with him because he is a top bloke. Coming from someone who really did not care about her hours, nor was I fussed about weather I got my licence, my instructor allowed me to see a different side to driving and actually made me commit to being the best driver I can be on the road. I get excited knowing when my next lesson is! Thank you for all your hard work with the keys2drive program, we really do appreciate it.

I am a 36 years old and I always had an excuse to postpone my driving lessons due anxiety.
I think I grew up with my father saying to me driving a car is almost as dangerous as manage a gun. :-/
Years passed and about 6 months ago I got a job but one of the requirements was to have a driving licence.
So no more time for excuses, I finally found strive2drive whist googling for someone around my area. Their prices were much better comparing with their competitors and I was also able to use my free lessons from through keys2drive. I told Gary I was pretty nervous but he took me to quiet roads before we hit normal traffic on further lessons. I have issues to avoid the same mistakes from happening again due anxiety but Gary never gave up to teach me the same thing over and over again. He never yelled at me as I had heard from my mates driving instructors do. He was always polite, understandable, on time and funny. We have had cool times and I am so satisfied with his service that I might take further lessons even with my driving licence now as I want to practice more until I buy a car next year. Now I have a licence to show at work, my father is proud of me and I have finally my driving licence to show everywhere I go.

Today I passed my driving test with little to no stress. Phil have been a great guy for me the whole time, but when necessary would change his tone to depict the importance of the advice he is making, errors I have made and the importance of safe driving which I appreciate very strongly. His friendly nature made my weekly sessions enjoyable adding value to the experience.
Phil as a driving instructor would get a full score by my books. It is good to know that there is such a great individual teaching driving skills to the new members of the road making the road I will be joining very soon a safer place.

I started driving with Emmanuel in October 2014. He was very easy going right from the start. He helped me figure out all the things I needed before getting stuck into the actual driving... ie: how to download the Learners Handbook and sitting the Learners Permit Test at VicRoads. The first lesson was great, I was quite nervous at the start so Emmanuel took control of the footwork and I controlled the steering for the first lesson. It was a great way to ease into driving if you're new and/or nervous like I was! Emmanuel is a confident, easy going and enthusiastic instructor. He makes jokes and makes you feel really calm and comfortable whilst driving. I had lessons with Emmanuel for about a year before taking my test. He thought I was ready before this but I wanted to make sure I had most things covered just to be sure. I asked Emmanuel to take me on the highway and places that are a little more complicated like doing hook turns in the city, which he was happy to do. Over all I have had a great driving experience with Emmanuel, I found it much calmer, easier and safer than learning with my partner. I have even put his name forward to friends of mine who have also shared the same experiences. I would highly recommend Emmanuel to anyone and everyone who is learning to drive! A massive thank you for all your help!!!

Have you been to previous instructors and never wanted to drive again? That was me before I discovered Strive2Drive. Having going through two driving instructors from large driving businesses, I have been scarred from driving all together. Through the experiences of driving with frustrated and yelling instructors on the road and them constantly telling me that 'I was the problem', this really lowered my confidence and made me extremely anxious, flustered and scared of driving on the road. I had big doubts even when I saw good reviews online about Strive2Drive and from my previous experiences. I decided to give it a go and have had 12+ lessons and I gotta say I am absolutely loving the lessons with Emmanuel. Emmanuel's lessons are definitely worth the money as he is very patient and takes little babysteps at a time. Not only does Emmanuel constantly reassures and tells you that you are doing the right thing, he is constantly improving on your weaknesses. I can guarantee 100% that my confidence has skyrocketed and I am alot calmer behind the wheel. If you are seriously in need to learn the proper way and 'safe' way to drive, I highly recommend Emmanuel.

I would like everyone to know what a great driving instructor George Lee is. After having my learners permit for over 10 years, I knew it was long overdue for me to get my drivers licence. However I was nervous and wasn't very confident being in the drivers seat. Being in my 30's with two young kids, it was definitely something I needed to do, however past experience with other driving schools and instructors didn't make my driving journey an enjoyable one! Then I stumbled across the Strive 2 Drive website and read the testimonials and decided to take the plunge. And I'm so glad I did, because George Lee, my instructor was fantastic. He was patient, understanding and down to earth. It was more like learning to drive with a friend and this made me feel more confident behind the wheel. He'll provide honest feedback in areas where I can improve, show me techniques and tips to be a safer and better driver and we would visit each of the common test routes in the area each lesson. George taught me how to drive from never being behind the wheel, to being a safe, capable driver. Having put off learning to drive for many years, due to fear, I'm so pleased that when I was finally ready to take the step to have professional lessons, it was the Strive2Drive website I landed on. My instructor, Paul Cicciarello was not only patient, calm and informative, he was able to get me from a nervous nelly to a confident and safe driver in four months. Phil was an excellent instructor. I cannot fault him. I started my lessons last year as a terrified person, gripping the wheel and almost hyperventilating. I didn't believe it was possible that I could learn at my age (38). Phil was very calm and positive. He took it slowly, and gradually built my confidence as well as teaching me the fundamentals of driving. By the time it came to sit my test, I was so confident in his judgement that I knew he wouldn't have allowed me to book if I wasn't ready. I passed first go! He really was fantastic, I will recommend him to anyone who is in the area.

Before we start our driving lesson, he explains what we are going to do and even draws it up on a paper to make sure i'm not confused. I passed my driving test today at Burwood. I am so happy and I want to thank George Lee who is my instructor. Before I met George, I had 3 other instructors. But for all kinds of different reasons, I could not drive properly under most of situations. My friends gave me George's number when I was almost despaired.
George is such a wonderful instructor who not only taught how to pass the test but also more important, how to be safe driver. I began my first lesson with George at 17/12/2014. I could not drive properly (e.g. changing lanes, parallel parking etc.) and I had so many problems. But George so patiently explained them to me and let me understand why I made mistakes and how to do it properly. After a few lessons with George, I began to bulid some good driving habits and feel confident when driving on the road.
Today I passed my dring test and I am REALLY LUCKY! But I know, it is not only because of the lucky day but also because of YOU---GEORGE LEE. You are the best instructor that I ever met! Thank you so much! Thank you not only for the licence but also all the future safe driving days! I definitely recommend George Lee and Strive 2 Drive to all my family and friends. I passed my drive test at Dandenong today and a big thanks to George Lee. George has been very patient, friendly and positively instructor and helping me pass my test. He showed me lots of tricks and deal with different situations that really helped me improve my drive skills, my driving confident. And I am a pretty nervous person. I really want to thanks George, he asked me to deep breath and repeat what his order that really helped me relax. Finally I had enough confident to complete the drive test and passed.
I am very happy to have George Lee be my instructor, he teach me not rush, every time i finish with his lesson, he always give me feedback, i still have those feedbacks that really help me a lot. I have now sat my driving test twice. The first time I attempted it, I had been learning from another driving school. This first teacher had some interesting teaching methods. Whenever he wanted to teach me anything new, I would have to park and he would get out his enormous folder and show me diagrams. I wasn't learning anything new so eventually I wanted to try for my test. This is when he started showing me the hand signals that he would be using during the test to tell me what to do. Of course I failed. Eventually I was ready to try again with a new school and I found Strive to Drive. Emmanuel was very welcoming right from the start and took the time to evaluate my level before he started. He was always very friendly, and the most valuable thing: patience. I think what induces my anxiety is when I stuff up in front of someone and feel I'm disappointing them. Emmanuel is so very patient, and doesn't make you feel at all bad if you stuff up 100 times. Because it's all about learning. Eventually Emmanuel told me I was ready to go for my licence and we spent a lot of time driving around Carlton to practice. My initial test I would never have gone to Carlton because it was deemed 'too hard'. I aced the test. I would recommend Emmanuel in a heart beat. Full of friendly personality and so very patient with anxious drivers.

I just wanted to say THANK YOU to Kathy - I just passed my driving test today and it was thanks to her that I was able to. I did two practice sessions with Kathy before two different driving tests. She was incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, positive, friendly, supportive and patient, and she guided me through different tests routes before each test. I failed the first, due to my own mistakes of course, but Kathy helped me to prepare better for the second attempt - which I passed thankfully! She was such an excellent instructor and anyone who becomes a student of hers would be very, very lucky - they are in very safe and capable hands. Thanks again Kathy for all your help!

So i passed my driving test today all thanks to Phil Kumar. I have had 3 other instructors in the past and the only one that i would recommend would be Phil. I had a few lessons with him before going for my test, and he taught me many things, most of all to have confidence in myself and never to drive in a rush, to be calm and take my time when driving. Phil is obviously great at what he does, and needs to be acknowledged for this, he would always praise my driving, ensuring my confidence is high. Another great reason why Phil is so good at what he does is that he works around you, when you are available to drive, he will find a time for you in his busy schedule. I will go on to recommend Phil to any learner who is not only looking to pass their driving test, but be a safe and confident driver.

After a few months, I can honestly say that John is an amazing instructor. I consider myself a pretty slow and clumsy learner; however, John has been incredibly patient, always upbeat and consistently gives out great advice. Not only does he teach you to pass the P test but he teaches to be a good, safe driver for the years to come. With his guidance, I passed my P test on my first try.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to George Lee from Stive2Drive. Today, I passed my driving test the FIRST TIME at Heatherton Drive. George has been very patient, friendly and provided moral support to help me overcome the mental block when facing challenging situations on the road. I still remember my first driving lesson when George asked me about my driving experience/skills, and I replied: "I need to learn how to drive from scratch". George re-assured me and said: "Don't worry, I'll help you". He guided me step by step; from starting the engine, turning the steering wheel, to changing lanes. One thing I really appreciate about George is that, he focuses on being safe on the road, rather than focusing solely on the driving test. He has provided constructive criticism on what I was doing that wasn't exactly right/ safe and what I needed to improve on. Sometimes, he would even present his explanations in drawing so that I could have a better understanding.
Having no driving experience, my learning curve was quite steep, but George has been supportive throughout this learning journey. After each lesson, he encouraged me and said "Don't worry, keep trying". Closer to the test date, I was feeling a bit nervous and even told him that maybe I should postpone my test. However, George encouraged me to go for the test and try my best.
To my great surprise, I passed my test the FIRST TIME. I am so happy for having chosen George Lee to be my instructor. There are so many driving instructors out there, but very few like George Lee. I definitely recommend George Lee to any learner drivers who value safe driving.

My name is Anthony, and I had the pleasure and privilege of being taught by Emmanuel how to drive. I stress 'taught' – compared to previous driving instructors I have had, Emmanuel's ability to differentiate between instructing and teaching was the key, I believe, to my success. Coming from an education background myself, I witnessed first-hand Emmanuel's ability to engage in a holistic style of driver education, engaging with the learner as a person beyond their need to pass the test, instead differentiating based on skill and psychology of the learner driver – something that I know from friends and family is not common with driving instructors. Taking into account my needs as a driver, Emmanuel structured our lessons together to get the maximum potential out of them and myself, and to bolster my skills as a driver in situations that I might face often in the future, giving me valuable experience as a driver rather than focusing solely on the driving test. His patience and willingness to impart as much useful knowledge and skill as he can was a real benefit, and he was always very pleasant and helpful throughout my time with him as a learner driver. It was great to have an enthusiastic teacher from beginning right up to the end, when unlike other instructors I've heard of from friends and family, Emmanuel modelled the good driving he was trying to instil in me along the drive back home. Our lessons together made me a much better driver than how I had started out, and made me feel comfortable with my driving test, which was not at the forefront of our lessons, but instead, and rightly so, was the culmination of our hard work along the way. I definitely recommend Emmanuel to any learner drivers that value learning how to drive safely and well, and thank him very much for helping me become a good driver.

He was very calm, and provided constructive criticism on what I was doing that wasn't exactly right and what I needed to improve on. I just wanted to send this email to let you know how pleased I am with the quality of training I received from my instructor Sylvio Micallef. Yesterday I went for my driving test to get my P's in Sunshine and passed on the first attempt thanks to all the help I received from Sylvio. I'm 24 years old, now living out of home and a car has become more and more of a necessity. Sylvio provided me with great driving advice, helped me to refine my driving skills and let me know when I was ready for the test. Sylvio is an instructor who takes great pride in what he does, making sure to teach not just how to pass a test but how to become a great driver. I wish all road users had such a high standard for road safety.

I am so very happy to pass my driving test on the first go and a big thanks to George for being an absolutely brilliant instructor and helping me to pass my test.  My sister-in-law recommended me George as she has passed her test first time with him few months ago.  I contacted and talked to George and I still remember him saying "don't worry you are in safe hands and you will be fine" and he was right.
I was always scared about learning to drive; I never thought the day would come.  I find George my instructor really kind, patient and friendly. George made me feel very confident while driving and explained driving techniques very patiently sometimes again and again. I am very thankful to him for been an amazing, patient, and very understanding instructor. Quickly picking up the basics he spent most of our lessons teaching me to move and position my car at junctions, otherwise would not be able to see safely even with extra blind spot mirrors, I can now fully qualified feel safe in any situation I may find myself in.

I passed my P's driving test yesterday on my first attempt at Burwood. I want to thank George Lee for his professional teaching and patience. He teaches you not only how to pass, but more importantly, how to be safe driver. Before I did a lesson with Strive 2 Drive I already had more than 120 hours under my belt and I thought I was ready for the driving test. How wrong I was! After taking a lesson George made me realise that I wasn't doing the procedures properly (e.g. changing lanes, parallel parking etc.) and I had problems with car positioning, hence I was doing quantity over quality. George doesn't just lists your mistakes, he explains them to you through drawn diagrams; why it's wrong, the correct procedure/positioning and what problems it could cause. His explanations made me understand what I did wrong and has been stuck in my head. After taking lessons with George, I now feel confident in driving alone and being safe on the road. I definitely recommend George and Strive 2 Drive to all my family and friends. Thank you again George.

I would highly recommend him to anyone who wants to learn, young and old alike, I'm a late learner myself being 39! His method of teaching helped me a lot. He is friendly but very professional, so focussed, teaches you how to drive safely, observing all the road rules and builds your confidence as you learn how to become a good and safe driver. I live in Toorak and I have to go to Oakleigh to do my lessons. The time and money spent are definitely worth it!!!

After 2.5 years not driving and taking only refresher lessons, I have passed my driving test on the first attempt today 08/01/2014 at Sunshine. I would like to thank my driving instructor Sylvio Micallef for the 7 driving lessons I had with him. He made me feel relaxed and comfortable driving again. Throughout his driving lessons, I have felt more confident and less nervous during the driving test. Last Friday I had my first driving lesson EVER, I had neer even been able to put the key in the ignition of a car before.
All I can say is that your company is very lucky and privilledged to have someone like Ralene Cassidy as one of your instructors.
I went from I AM GOING TO DYE IF I DRIVE A CAR to Oh my God by the time I can do this on my own a whole new world is going to open up for me. Not only did I manage to put they keys in the ignition but I drove down Franscis street and Williamstown roads!
I couldn't have done it without her, shes great 😃

Hi, I just wanted to say a big thank you to George Lee for helping me pass my driving test this morning! I had first started lessons in 2007 but stopped after a couple of months as I wasn't ready to get my license. I decided to try this year and started lessons in late September, having 2-3 lessons a week until my test today. George always made me feel comfortable while driving and was always attentive, patient and very accommodating with my lessons and I couldn't have asked for a better instructor. Today I passed my driving test and I am are very grateful to Phil Kumar for helping and teaching me all the road rules .I get my license at the first attempt.I didn't have an overseas license and I had two instructors before him. Phil made me feel very comfortable whilst driving unlike many other driving instuctors I had previously. I have to say: Phil is the best!No one was able to teach me the right reverse parking, his technique is just amazing. I would like to say he is very organized , experienced, punctual, calm and prepared me very well for the test. Even in the last minutes before the test he didn't give up to give me advise and tips for the test! I would recommend Phil Kumar to everyone, he worth every cent I paid for lessons.

I have just come back from a lesson with Emmanuel. I am or should I say was a very nervous drive until I met him, please believe when I say that Emmanuel has the most relaxing, and amazing way of teaching, that my first lesson with him was like having a 2 hour massage at a Zen Clinic, his voice put me into such amazing relaxed state that my brain has absorbed everything he has taught me.. OMG i can go on and on about him... I also want to thank Teresa from Strive to 2 for being a wonderful person to speak to on the phone.

Two weeks ago yesterday I went for my driving test and have been on the road driving nearly every day since, all thanks to the patience and guidance from Phil. For someone who has always been cautious and a little anxious on the road in the past, I could not have wished for a better person to encourage me from day one. I would like to express my gratitude for all the help and guidance I received with my driving skills from my driving instructor, Ralene.
Although I have been driving for a couple of years abroad and in Australia, my driving lessons with Ralene have greatly improved my driving techniques. Ralene gave clear and simple instructions and was able to point out all the areas where I had to fine-tune my skills and helped to boost my confidence, which helped me greatly to remain calm and successfully complete the licence test. These simple tips and techniques have been so handy and at several instances they have helped me get rid of my fear for driving, since, now I clearly know what is required to be done. For instance, I was not very confident about my lane changing technique, but ever since I did my lessons with Ralene, lane changing has been a smooth and easy experience. I will definitely recommend Ralene as an instructor to all those aspiring to
pass their driving test and drive with good driving techniques, clear knowledge and confidence. Today I am so happy and grateful because, with Ralene, I passed my driving test, which I could not achieve with the previous driving school I went to.

I wanted to thank and congratulate George Lee for helping me pass my P's today! Woo!
I have a funny story to go along with my driving record, as I continuously had to cancel lessons due to work/ uni commitments or anything else that life faced me. George was super patient and in lessons we had a good laugh, whilst also dealing with my anxiety and at times, negative state of mind. He listened to my awkward stories and as other testimonial states; it was as if I was driving with a friend. His manner towards any feedback and guidance was always respectful and friendly. I couldn't have received a better instructor who knew all the tricks to the trade. I even managed to learn how to slow down and stop being a "Speedy Gonzalez"!
I am so thankful to have met and learn with such a genuine person, who accommodates for one's feeling of fear and failure, and turn it around to a story of success! Thank you so much George!!

Paul was my assigned instructor, and I thought that he was a fantastic instructor - he was immediately able to pick up on what improvements I needed to make in order to become a better driver, and provided clear and simple tips in order to refine my driving skills. The pricing for lessons was affordable, and the service given in return was nothing short of professional and extremely helpful. From my experience, the S2D team seems committed in providing first-class lessons in driving, especially with regards to their focus on the Probationary License test. I was thoroughly impressed with my experience with S2D, and will definitely recommend them to any future learner drivers who require an instructor.

I have had pretty severe anxiety with the idea of driving - even up till now, it can be stressful. But having said that, I am gaining confidence day by day, and I have George Lee to thank for it, a hundred-fold. George was always extremely professional, patient and understanding. He also communicated well. George was very careful to explain driving maneuvers and procedures, and took his time to go through things slowly but thoroughly. I am really impressed with the way George and the Strive2Drive team relate to their clients - especially nervous wrecks (like I can be!) - always in an encouraging and generous way. Just wanted to pass on my appreciation to Phil Kumar for helping me get my license at the first attempt. I have had an overseas license and been driving for many years but failed attempts to get a vic license through other driving schools. No one was able to teach me the right rules which are very important in passing the test even if you know how to drive. His reverse parking technique was just amazing. So useful in real situations, not just for the test. Phil is very cool and calm and flexible when it comes to lesson times and pickup spots. A few lessons with him certainly helps lift your confidence that goes a long way in passing the test. I now find myself following all the road rules as he taught me which will no doubt make me a much better driver than I ever was. Thanks Phil.

I would like to pass very positive feedback about one of your instructors - Mr George Lee. Today, I passed the driving test and got my P plate, thanks to George at strive 2 drive. I've had my learner permit for nearly 10yrs.. And all these times, I tried numerous times to practise driving, but was never successful. Whenever I tried practising with my husband, he was so strict and always used to say, that I will never be able to get my P plate, because he thinks I'm not up to the standard of the test. So I called one of the leading driving schools and booked for an instructor ,but after 3-4 lessons I quit again, because I felt, I was going nowhere with those lessons. Then one day, I googled and found info about strive2drive and comments about George and how good and patience he is. At that moment, I knew I found the correct instructor this time. So straight way, I called and booked him. And thanks to "keys2drive"program, I got my first lesson free of charge. And after that, I think I had 10 lessons.
George is the best instructor ever. I was sooo nervous on the first lesson,
because the instructor and the car were both new to me. But after that, it was like going for a ride with a friend. He taught me all the tips and tricks to face the test. Before I met George, my lane changing and parallel parking were a nightmare for me. But George taught me all those from A to Z and I don't think I will ever forget them again. My husband used to say Oakleigh test centre is the hardest place to pass, but today just after 10 lessons, I've passed my driving test at Oakleigh at the first attempt, and all the credit goes to my instructor George. Whoever is reading this testimony, if you are really serious about passing the test, I would highly recommend George at Strive 2 Drive. Thank you sooo much George and Strive 2 drive, you guys are doing a great job.

When I first rang Strive 2 Drive I had recently turned 30 and had just had my first child. I had never been in the drivers seat, and was quite scared to be. I knew that it was something I needed to do, although wasn't particularly keen to do so. Paul put me at ease straight away, throwing me in the deep end and taking me straight onto the road. Going back to my first lesson I remember really struggling to turn the wheel to get around the corner, I was so nervous. I now less then a year later have just got my probationary licence, I can't express how grateful I am to Paul. I can't believe the freedom it has now given me, freedom that I have never known before. Paul's ability to teach me, in a calm, simple and informative way really was fantastic. I now not only have the confidence to drive alone, but also with my daughter in the car, and as any parent knows your children are the most important people in your life, so putting their safety first is paramount. Thanks again Paul, I couldn't have done it without you.

At 37 yrs of age I am a late learner driver and I came into my driving lessons very nervous and tense. Paul from Strive To Drive put me at ease straightaway and soon had me feeling confident driving on the road, something I thought would never happen. He knew when to ease off and when to encourage me to get the best results, but most importantly he was insightful and knew how to teach me at a pace that was comfortable for me. He was professional whilst being personable at the same time. I owe Paul and Strive To Drive a new found independence and can't recommend Strive to Drive enough-thanks again!!!

George Lee was such a great instructor; he was always in a good mood, never got angry and stayed calm. He had unique ways of teaching which we found so useful and made learning to drive much simpler and stress-free than we expected. He was always optimistic and encouraging which made us more determined to drive well and pass our test. Whenever we needed to change a lesson he was always accommodating. Everyone should learn with George Lee. We would recommend "Strive 2 Drive" Driving School to everyone as it has made us a safe driver. I am writing to thank my phenomenal driving instructor Jenny for her guidance and perseverance which helped me to finally pass my driving test after many failed attempts. Jenny's effervescent attitude made learning to drive an absolute pleasure, and I would really look forward to our lessons rather than dread them as I had before with previous driving schools. Her calm demeanour and constant reassurance ensured that I always felt comfortable when on the roads – a task which for me, a person whose performance is often affected by nerves, was no easy feat. Not only did Jenny prepare me brilliantly for the road test by tirelessly driving test routes over and over again, but she made the structure of the test very clear and even provided me with the relevant documents which explain exactly what one needs to do to pass the drive test and what constitutes an error – something which had never been previously clarified for me. Most importantly, Jenny reiterated time and time again that the importance of our lessons was not to have me pass the drive test, but indeed a challenge to myself to become a safe driver. Today, I feel as though I can safely say that I have achieved that aim, and I definitely would not have been able to do it without Jenny. I would strongly recommend her for anyone looking for a rewarding, enjoyable driving experience!

I would like to express my gratitude to my driving instructor Phil Kumar in assisting me to obtain my driving confidence. I had 5 Driver Refresher Lessons with Phil and at each lesson he presented himself in a very professional manner. I naturally felt anxious. However, as each lesson progressed I felt more relaxed and confident. I believe Phil's mannerism – positive, patient, calm, so calm , attentive, knowledgeable , encouraging and motivating made an impact on my attitude towards driving. Phil believed in me and my driving capabilities. He was encouraging and supported me in building my confidence and that to me was very important as I had not driven a car for more than 15 years. I still cannot believe that I am driving my children to and from school now. I made a promise to myself and my two young children that I wouldn't put them through public transport anymore. I am so proud of myself. After many years of having a fear of driving and feeling anxious I am now taking steps to overcome those issues. The best is when your 4 year old child says to you on arriving home 'you did it mummy' I'm proud of you! Each day my confidence and skills improve.(practise makes perfect). I have just recently had seven lessons with Phil Kumar and successfully passed my test. I'd just like to say that Phil was very informative and helpful in brushing up my skills in the last 20 hours of my L plates. He prepared me well for the test, allowing me to familiarise myself with the roads that would be used. His technique for the reverse parallel park was also great and worked splendidly for the test! Overall I thought the lessons were well worth the affordable price and would recommend Strive2Drive and Phil Kumar to friends in need.

Being a retiree, the dream of getting a Victoria driving license was almost a distant dream though I have had more time to pursue my interest. There were many reasons why driving was not part of my life agenda. Bad learning experience and dependency on partner were the top two reasons. However, not able to drive no matter what the rationale behind was always bothering me. One day, I just called up this Asia driving instructor few friends have been talking about. Wow, George (Lee) turned out to be more than an instructor. He did not rush into getting me to drive but spent precious five minutes every lesson trying to understand my state of mind before starting the engine. Senior people need warming up and assurance and that was what George had done and did them in such a commendable manner. George' step by step guidance and pace setting allow me to learn lessons and passed my driving test without much hassle. I have high blood pressure for many years and George always made sure I took my medication before going into the car. Every time, I got into a car with George, it was like going for a chatting session with a counsellor except this session was on a 'moving' office. Thank you George Lee for helping me to drive before I become too senile to do so. Thank you Strive2 Drive.

I passed my driving test today with Phil. Thanks 4 recommending him to me after I moved to the greensborough area last year. He is a well experienced, punctual, patient, calm and cheerful instructor. Highly recommended especially to rookies. Now he has a brand new car with a better functioned AC ;p

Phil Kumar was my driving instructor. He taught me everything perfectly such as reverse parking, 3 point turns, rules/cautions etc... Phil made me feel very comfortable whilst driving unlike many other driving instuctors I had previously. Phil also made me gain my confidence in driving. Thanks to Phil iI successfully passed my P's test first shot. I highly recommend Phil to any students who are learning to drive. taking their test or even nervous and lacking confidence in their driving (he will definetly make you feel comfortable and & increase confidence). I am very glad I had Phil as an instructor for lessons and their on my test.

Ralene is absolute gold and the best instructor I have ever had. I never write testimonials, but I just felt I had to because she was so great. I have been on my L's for around 5 years and tried quite a few different driving schools in Melbourne. Being mature age learner driver whose only previous experience was in Europe (driving on the other side of the road) I had very little confidence that I would ever learn how to drive safely in Australia. After driving with 5 different instructors In Melbourne, finally someone recommended Ralene. Obviously I had my doubts on how we would go considering past experience, but I thought I'd give it one last chance... now I have to say that Ralene is the most professional instructor I have ever been in the car with, yet she is so approachable and absolute pleasure to be around. She was also very flexible, working around my schedules. Ralene has explained everything in details and taught me with ease how to be a safe driver, she gave me all the tips & tricks I have never learned from any of my previous instructors. For Ralene, it's not only about passing the driving test, it was about making me safe and confident driver. Last week I passed my driving test - the very first attempt. All I can say is that Ralene is a magician because I have no idea how she turned things around and made me confident P driver from someone who couldn't control car and was absolutely horrified of driving. She gave me confidence and knowledge to pass the test and become good driver and for that I will be forever thankful. As someone else in testimonials said before me - learning to drive with Ralene netted me not just my P's, but also a friend. I could not recommend her highly enough. At my first few lessons with my first driving school, it doesn`t make me much comfortable and convincing. But still I continue it until 10 lessons because they got really a good name and reputation. With my 10 lessons I cant do a safe lane change, I dont know a correct positioning. We just had to drive and to drive. Until one night, I sat down on my computer and search another driving schools. And thats how I found strive2drive. I read their testimonials and I found one of it have almost same problem and we got same driving school too. After reading that testimonial, it came to my mind why not try srive2drive and besides their rate is much affordable compared to the first one. So I rang strive2drive and booked a lesson. My driving instructor was George Lee. He is so approcable and very professional. He will explained to you every details. He will give some techniques on how to be a safe driver. He is also flexible man. Sometimes in the middle of the night I send message to him to move my lessons or change the time because of some work commitments. He will entertain it as soon as possible. I went for my drive test on the 17/10/12 and passed easily. Phil Kumar was my driving instructor. I came to him with knowledge of how to drive, but not how to park. He taught me how to parallel park and 3 point turn in my first lesson. Phil is very experienced and very easy to get along with. I would recommend him to any of my friends and family no matter what their driving experience is! I feel like I have skills which will lead me to be a safe and experienced driver for the rest of my life. Thanks Phil!

Lately I got in contact with your trained driving instructor George Lee for the Keys2drive free lesson. I was impressed with the amount of detail and information I got from George which eventually helped me to pass my road test (no doubt about it). Initially I booked my road test with another driving school but was not impressed by teaching method though the initial instructor was a personal friend. I subsequently booked George for the free lesson and then another '2 hours' lesson. Though I went through the test not in George's car but deep in my thought my success in the test was because of George Lee. I sent a short message to George immediately after the test. All I can say about George is he is very meticulous in his training. He is kind, patient and thoughtful. He was able to converse in both Mandarin and English which helped me to understand the instructions very well before the test though I had a translator sitting in the car during the road test. After several failed attempts, I passed my road test recently. I would like to thank my driving instructor George Lee for a job well done. The difference between George and my previous instructor were :-
(1) George was patient in his teaching whereas I was often scolded when I made mistake with previous instructor
(2) George went to great length to calm my nerves (he has plenty of tips to offer), reiterated many of my mistakes even minutes before the test whereas my previous instructor never bothered about my mental preparation
(3)George emphasised a lot about having good reflex and often tested me on quick response whereas my previous instructor has 'zero' sharing on reflex.
So, if you have failed your driving test, do not be despondent, talk to Strive2Drive and speak to George Lee, one of the best instructors around.

I am absolutely delighted today as I passed my driving test. My mum and I would like to thank George Lee for his excellent guidance. I started with George last year for 2 months of solid driving. We only called George last week to take me for the test. I was surprised that most of the driving habits that George taught me last year still stuck in my mind. He is such a great teacher for he mixed lots of humour with his driving lesson. He often made me think for the solution if I made a mistake. Another great thing about George is he can really calm you down for the test. " Never panic even if you make a mistake" or " if you still driving which means you still have every chance to pass", these are some of his encouragement words that I will always remember. My name is Kanchan, I took driving lessons from Mr Phil Kumar and successfully completed my drive test last week.
It was a very good experience and nice journey, the way he trained me is exceptional, he started from the beginning and teaches me all possibles lessons which includes road rules and also guided me how to succeed in the examination, I was feeling very nervous on the the day I had my drive test, he motivated me and builds lots of confidence, he took me to drive test areas just before the test which helped me a lot, not only that on the test day I had test with his training vehicle and he was sitting next to me, it was given me extra bit of confidence to succeed.
I enjoyed learning from him, I improved a lot everyday under his guidance, when I started first lessons I was not aware most of the driving rules and I was very nervous.

She able to remove the fear for driving that I harboured for so many years, and built in that confidence that I needed. The more I drove with her , the more I started to love driving. I've just got my P licence recently and I would like to thank Strive 2 Drive especially my driving instructor George Lee. He fixed my mistakes in driving that my 2 previous instructors from other driving school haven't taught me. I just wanted to say the biggest thank you to Phil for being so positive and supportive. I'm 35 and have actually driven for a long time, I grew up on a farm and drove the ute around for years but by the time I was 16 I was living in the city and didn't need to drive anywhere. I'd had my L's on and off forever but found it hard to get my nerve back after a bad accident several years ago.
I was so confident and felt great about my driving after just one lesson with Phil. His comment of 'your an excellent driver' will stick in my mind forever as it spurred me on to more practice and passing my driving test yesterday! I was as nervous as you'd expect anyone to be but I also felt so capable and I knew that I could do it.

My name is Poorva. I gave my driving test yesterday at Mooroolbark (with the 3 tricky roundbouts) and guess what, I passed in first attempt. I was so scared of driving, couldn't do lane changes, I had to be told when to change lanes. I didnt know any road rules. I then approached Strive2 drive. Driving with Ralene Cassidy was an absolute pleasure and our lessons were something that I looked forward to every week. For a long time I found it difficult to overcome nerves when it came to driving, but Ralene made the car an extremely comfortable environment. I felt my confidence grow each and every time I drove down my street and turned left onto Pascoe Vale road. I have passed my driving test recently, it was with the help of George Lee. I got in touch with George after my first failed attempt. On first lesson, he checked my skills of driving and reason for my failure in first test. Observing my week points and overcoming it, with the help of George. He also pinpoint the difficult area and sign board in the test route like merging lane and speeding sign togather in one test route. He teach me reverse parallel park very technically. He would explain all the mistake done very nicely with examples and how to overcome it. Every new lesson he would revise the mistake done in last lesson and make sure it does not happen again. He is sure about how many lesson each require depending in the skill's observe on the first lesson. I have also got my partner going to take lesson from him. I would recommend George and strivetodrive school to anyone how want to get they license done. Thanks George again for all your effort's for get my test cleared.

I am writing to express my gratitude and appreciation for Phil Kumar my driving instructor. Phil was really great, an attentive and focused teacher who taught me simple and effective techniques that really worked. Phil has a really good knowledge of the road rules and made me feel calm and confident even when I was struggling. Phil never glossed over my weak areas or strayed from the task, with his focus and knowledge he helped me learn to drive and ultimately to pass the test and get my license.
I have had a lot of other instructors, some don't seem to know the rules others want to talk about anything other than driving or just want you to book in an other lesson, not Phil, professional and fantastic all the way. I only wish that I had come across Phil earlier.

Realising that having my L's for 2.5 years will to have end, I decided to approach Strive2Drive to learn how to drive. It wasn't just for the sake of driving but mainly to do with being a safe driver, learning the do's and don'ts and most importantly being independent for transportation. Paul instructed me from Day 1 and since then it has been a journey from being rusty to being a better driver than Paul 😃 Despite not getting through the 1st time in Carlton, my confidence, my performance and my awareness of driving improved dramatically. I re-sat the exam in Carlton and I passed with flying colours with Paul smiling away which his head up high! It has now been 9 months since my successful exam and I have not forgotten the lessons and generous coffees from Paul during my lessons. My family, friends and colleagues have praised and appreciated my driving to a point where I'm driving for them most of the times. Thanks a lot Paul for believing and having faith in me, really enjoyed the lessons and chats we had.

Had my test on Tuesday after being on my L's for almost 3 years. Never had the courage to book my licence before my lessons with Phil. After only a couple of lessons I was more confident with my overall driving ability. He taught me all the little tips and tricks to becoming a safer driver and I passed my test with confidence. I wanted to say a very big thank you to Paul, my driving instructor. He taught me the basic skills from the beginning that i needed to know in order to drive, and helped me to become a more confident and aware driver. I successfully passed my P's a few days ago on my first attempt and have never been prouder. I wouldnt have been able to do it if it wasnt for Pauls support and encouragement. He is a fantastc driving instructor, always very friendly, partient and determined to help his students. He is always willing to take time out to address any driving concerns that you may have and never seems to give up on his students. I continue to drive through Pauls teachings. Sylvio! You are the man! Today I passed my Carlton test,on the first go. Sylvio has been such a patient teacher to me, and he explains everything so clearly.He is also a very punctual teacher! Being a Malaysian drivers license holder, I was very unsure about the driving ways in Victoria. He taught me everything i needed to know. There were questions that i repeatedly asked many times, but Sylvio kept calm and told me the answer as many times as i wanted. Thanks again Sylvio. If you want to pass Carlton drive test, as many of you heard how scary it can be.., go for Sylvio!!

I am quite happy to be able to say that I have passed my P's test today, and that this would definitely not have been possible without the impeccable guidance and great skill of my driving instructor Simon Younan. I started my lessons having almost fulfilled my 120 hours of driving, and so I believed that I was ready for the test. However I decided that it would be prudent to take some lessons before I go, just in case - and how right I was! Simon's careful instruction ensured that I was completely confident about all the small and obscure road rules that I was unaware of, and by doing so I have been able to successfully pass the drive test on my first attempt. I highly recommend Simon to all learner drivers, for with his support I feel that I am a safer driver on the roads, and that is what's most important!

Today, I passed my road test at Mooroolbark. It was a great relief as I failed my first test at Burwood. I would not have done it without the persistence shown by your driving instructor, George Lee. When I got in touch with George after my first failed attempt, he tried to find out the reason for my failure. Thereafter, he made sure that I do not repeat the same mistake. On top of that, he would pinpoint to me what to look out for in the Mooroolbark test routes. For example, where were the merging roads (many of them!), how to deal with the meridian turning bays, how to negotiate the 3 continuous roundabouts (this is tough!) etc. George Lee was very throughout with his explanations. He suggested I take another lesson just before the test day and I am glad I did. I was confident on the test route as George had taken me to the same trail on previous lessons. I will not hesitate to recommend George Lee and your driving school to anyone who wants to any driving lesson. Thanks heaps George.

Just a note to say thank you for the support and guidance given by Paul to fine tune my daughter Julie's driving skills. Paul taught her a lot and in a few short lessons I already noticed that he had made her a good driver. Julie successfully passed her licence test last week and this is testimony to the teaching that she received from Paul who was always kind, patient and punctual. He was always willing to have a chat and to fill me in on my daughter's progress. Julie had another instructor when she first started to drive before we were recommended to Paul, and suffice to say there is nothing to compare with the service provided by Paul, which is testimony to what a great guy he is. I started my drivinglessons as an extremely nervous driver, but with George's encouragement, calm approach, humour and determination for me to succeed, he made me into a capable and confident driver - and I passed first time! George never gave up, even when I felt like it. 'A' class driving instuctor and 5 star service. I was very nervous and truly apprehensive about driving in traffic. Being a senior driver with more than 25 years of driving experience, I was confident of passing my road test. However, I could only last for 15 minutes on the first test due to speeding. From there I started to understand why my driving instructor George Lee kept harping that I carried out observation wider and further so that I could spot those speed limit signs earlier. I wished I had listened to George from the very beginning. After the first unsuccessful attempt, I started to focus more. I would like to thank George for his tireless efforts in getting me to ready for my second test (which I passed without much difficulty). In my liaison with George, I came to realize that road test in Victoria was more than just driving skills, it was about driver's awareness, perception and alertness on the roads. Frankly, not many instructors could teach learners what George Lee had taught me, especially in changing my old habits and improving my reflexes. Thank you George Lee.

I had an amazing experience with strive 2 driving school. As, I started from a beginner level i got full support and knowledge until the full driving stage. My driving instructor Mr Phil K is an highly experienced and confident instructor and guided me at every stage. The instructor not only focussed on driving test but also emphasized on safe driving skills and practices in the future. Moreover, the practice lessons were flexible according to my availability and that was even more convenient. The instructor is familiar with all the test areas and streets which provided me a chance to practice according to the test criteria. Moreover, the instructor possess very strong driving skills to teach a learner driver more efficiently. I passed my test only with the efforts of such experienced instructor. I would recommend every beginner driver to consult strive 2 drive school for better and safe driving skills. Also, I am highly thankful to the instructor who helped me to be a safe and efficient driver.

I called you guys and booked in for two 90min lessons. I had the pleasure of being placed with Phil Kumar. I had explained my experiance and he worked with me to improve on what i needed. Hi Strive2drive,
I am pleased to inform you that I passed my road test last month. I would not have done it without the thorough training provided by your competent instructor George Lee. Before I took the lessons with George, I was really hopeless with my lane change, I was always hoping there was no traffic at the back before I changed lane. Now, with the method passed over from George, changing lane is an art (as described by George). I have also improved tremendously in other areas like positioning and handling of the steering. Frankly, I would not know what to do if I had not met George because prior to Strive2drive, I came across two driving schools but all I got were instructions and scolding. My sister will be coming from Philippines in a few months time and I have booked George to teach her. Thanks George for your guidance and your sense of humour. I can now go out without asking my husband to come along. George, you are my saviour.

As an older learner I was super nervous about doing driving lessons and having to do a driving test. I had a real confidence problem and convinced myself that it would take me ages to master basic driving and would be many, many, many months before I would be remotely ready to pass my test. Instead, thanks to my instructor Phil Kumar, I was driving, parking and doing three point turns in my first couple of lessons. Best of all, after just 2 months of lessons I passed my driving test the first time! I really appreciated his calm manner, his use of encouragement and praise, his easy to understand, step-by-step approach to driving manoeuvres and his knowledge of the driving test components and the test routes. I'm sure I will still hear his voice saying "mirror, mirror, indicator, check" as I drive solo from now on in. And yes Phil, I promise to keep checking those mirrors!

I am 33 years old and have been an incredibly nervous and unconfident driver. My test day, I was accompanied by Joe, another instructor, he was smart and quick and great eye to road details. Didn't pass on my first test, I reckon just a bad day ! Today had my 2nd test, was nervous but Simon , another instructor, was supportive and very good in teaching and calm in his ways. I passed and am a successful car license holder. Not only did I get my license, I passed first time. When it comes to important tests, I freak out heaps, but Simon talked me through what would happen and calmed my nerves!

Having left getting a licence into my late 20's I had grown increasingly weary of taking the lessons required to gain my P's. However I had moved towards a career in the film industry and needed my own transportation.
Enter 'Strive2Drive' and the man himself, Sandro.
Sandro, with seemingly limitless patience and the light touch employed by only the most experienced instructors, guided my short and violent attempts at driving into a smooth and comfortable ride. Having never driven anything larger than a push bike, Sandro successfully taught me the fine arts of the manual transmission, resulting in a dramatic change in my confidence when driving down a narrow back street or down the middle lane of a free way, my new P license sitting comfortably in my wallet.
Sandro's diligence, punctuality, precision, flexibility, understanding, level-headedness, coherence when teaching new skills and all-round expertise have proven him to me to be most excellent at his job.
I would recommend and encourage Sandro and his company to anybody making an attempt at their driving license and I thank him for the newly found confidence I now feel on the road.

1.5 months ago, I took road test in Warragul with my instructor George Lee. He was amazing as he prepared me throughout the test from the time we started our journey near my house. His words of encouragement, telling me what were the right and wrong things to do have helped to ease my nerves. Normally when you get an instructor, especially those of RACV, he just tells you how to drive but Strive2drive instructor like George Lee did more than that. The psychological preparation was a crucial part in getting me through as Warragul was not a place familiar to me. I was glad to get George Lee as he told me that 'new' routes were not that daunting if we observed more and listen to instruction attentively throughout the test. Thanks George Lee and thanks for your guidance and friendship.

Hello Paul. Thank you for everything you did to help me pass the test and become such a confident driver. I've been driving a handful of time since the test out on my own and I'm getting more confident everytime. After many years of never needing a license due to easy accessibility to transport, it seemed like by the age of 23 I should get it anyway. I knew very basic skills of how to drive but after looking up strive2drive online and taking lessons with my instructor Paul, my confidence grew in leaps and bounds. Paul taught me reverse parking, how to swiftly change lanes, how to drive on roads with trams as well as how to use my mirrors and do head-checks. There are so many little things that are vital in developing your driving skill set that family members are unable to impart. As a result of the training I undertook after a few months of lessons I was able to pass my test in December first try! I would recommend strive2drive to anyone who desires a friendly atmosphere with instructors who are devoted to teaching students to become safe and efficient drivers. Thanks again Paul!!

He was calm and collected and coached me without stress so that I felt comfortable and safe. He was always on time and was patient and caring and aware of my hesitation. Thanks to Theresa for all her help from the first phone call and discussion re. my nephews needs, to making it easy to get vouchers for him as a gift from his nan. She was incredibly helpful above and beyond, and Dylan was thrilled with his xmas gift from his nanna. I rang several driving schools before coming across strive2drive, some were dismissive and abrupt (qualities i do not appreciate when someone is trying to get my or my mothers business), others just didn't seem interested enough to provide answers to my questions. My theory being if I cannot understand the person on the phone, what hope does the learner have. Theresa's manner was friendly, she took time out to listen and answer every question I had as well as being more than accommodating when it came to picking up and paying for the vouchers.
Dylan had his first lesson today with Joe, and he (Dylan) seems really pleased with how the lesson went. Dylan said Joe's instructions were clear, that he was friendly and Dylan felt he learnt "HEAPS". He has booked in again with Joe and now I know what I will be getting him for his 18th in March.
I would not hesitate to recommend strive2drive to any parent or person looking for a professionally structured, friendly and accommodating driving school.

I just thought I would write and pass on my thanks to Strive2Drive and in particular, Simon Younan. I was awarded my drivers license last Friday thanks to Simon's training. My first impression of Simon was that he was able to give instructions that I could understand instantly and explained rules and techniques (eg. reverse parallel parking) in a manner that could be easily remembered. He had an extremely good knowledge of my test area and knew exactly what the testers would be looking for. His friendly personality and sense of humour helped me to calmly approach the testing process. I would recommend Simon and Strive2drive to any friend.

My name is Lynn, and I am the student of George Lee. I have just passed my driving test on this Thursday (5th, Jan.). Until now, I still even don't believe it is true! Before the test, I have practiced the driving with my husband over 1 year; however, I still had no confidence to pass the test because I was very timid and no sense of direction.

Just about 20 days before the test, I heard a government funded program -- "Skill2drive" (get one free lesson) and contacted with George Lee (by name, I thought he might can also speak Chinese). To my surprise, George is very professional and patient and I can really benefit from his lesson; so I decided to take another 5 lessons from him. I think the most important thing he has taught me is how to drive safely whatever during the test or daily driving. Every time, George always gave me some extra time to summarize my performance and where may need to improve. I feel I suddenly see the light.

In the driving test day, George got our designated area very early and picked me up for a driving. Luckily, some of the routes we have practiced that day were exactly my test ones! I also appreciated that he has prepared the car in a good condition for my test. He waited for me until I finished the test and got my license, and then drove me back to the station.

It is hard to write down all I want to say here, but I just want to share a little bit of my story that may give the others some inspiration. I know a lot of people are learning driving and it is hard to pass it, especially just by once, so how it is important to find a good instructor! Here I want to say "thanks" to George and have no hesitation to recommend him to my friends who are learning driving!

Also give some other tips for all the driving learners: practice as much as you can before the test; get one free lesson (mentioned above) from the accredited instructor and complete the CD of "Smart Driving" to win the competition (I have won the prize of $200 voucher by that).

When I drive the car to work on the second day after I get my license, I feel driving is such a wonderful thing. I feel so confident on the road with safe driving skills!

Prior to my arrival, I made bookings with Vicroads, shopped online for a driving school and by a stroke of luck, found Strive2Drive. On the admin side, Teresa was friendly yet professional and prompt in answering my emails and arranging lessons for me. My instructor George was a great teacher who's diligent, kind, punctual, organized, patient and the best part is his ability to impart his knowledge and experience to me in a very relaxing manner. I would certainly recommend him to anyone, beginners or those who are converting their licenses, especially fellow Malaysians because of his in-depth understanding of our driving environment and habits. He guided me through every way he could and made me so perfect that all my nervousness flew away!! He taught me everything very patiently, calmly and with a very easy going attitude. I just wanted to thank you, and especially my instructor Daniel, for some fantastic driving education that saw me pass my test today, first time around. As an "older" learner, I found Daniel's guidance and instruction to be most valuable as he systematically taught me how to drive, and how to be a good driver, from the ground up. The skills and knowledge I acquired during our lessons ensured that I passed today with just the one "Area for Improvement" (a silly mistake with an indicator, but I wont bother you with the details!). Daniel's patience, eye for detail and encouragement were second to none. He taught me how to drive, not just how to pass the test.

I am now 26 and growing in driving confidence. Since I was 18 I have gone for my license twice and I was a too much of nervous wreck to go again and up until now I had 4 driving instructors spent a lot of money on lessons but had gotten nowhere and decided to give it one last go and I'm glad I did thanks my driving instructor Zoran J I was able to overcome my nerves and get my license. Where do I begin to say how amazing learning to drive with strive to drive was. At first when I got my Learners I never wanted to drive but as soon as I had my first lesson with Fraser the AMAZER, I knew he would be able to teach me to be an amazing driver. So really I would like to thank Fraser so much , Fraser it was so much fun and I always laughed when I got in the car, even if I would leave the house or even work in a bad mood and get in the car and I would be laughing with tears as soon as I got in the car. You always made the drives fun and they were never the same, you always asked me how I felt after our drive. I liked how you were honest and never lied. Fraser helped me a lot as I know when I first started I couldn't even go around a round -a-bout with out hitting it, I couldn't really do anything but Fraser fixed it.
When I went for my P's I was so nervous, Fraser was there to calm me down and I got them first go I was so happy. Fraser you have been amazing and funny and you're a great guy and I would recommend you to ALL my friends and family as you are a great teacher. So thank you strive to drive for this an amazing time and teaching me to drive. Now I am out there alone driving and I know I'll be fine because of you :D

I would like to take this opportunity to provide you with feedback on my experience as a new driver in Melbourne, Australia recently immigrated from South Africa. Even though one can have the attitude that redoing your driver's license because you come from Africa is just a waste of good time and money, I have to say that I actually appreciated the experience as it gave me a quick introduction into the differences in terminology and rules of the road, to South Africa. I have had my South African license for the last 22 years and most probably the most difficult part of this process was to let go of bad driving habits but it has given me renewed confidence of safe driving in a new country. I could however not have done this without the assitance, persistence and patience of George Lee, my driving instructor from Strive2Drive Driving School. George, I value your support, enthusiasm and knowledge more than you can imagine - thank you for being there during this part of change and integration in my new life in Australia.

I did my driver's test yesterday in Frankston and I was successful. I am so glad and thankful to my instructor Zoran and Strive2Drive. He was patient and concentrated on my weak areas. I won't hesitate recommending any of my friends needing instruction in driving.

I would like to write a testimonial for one of your driving instructor Simon Younan. I was very happy with my lessons and the way Simon gave me instructions. He is very patient and is very easy to get along with. Over all i think my driving skills have improved due to the help i received from Simon.

I would just like to thank Phil Kumar for his valuable driving lessons for Strive2 Drive. His lessons and advice were highly essential to the passing of my driving test. He was calm and collected throughout every lesson when errors were made and this was important to the learning of driving for myself. I learnt a lot of techniques, improved my skills as well as gaining some valuable tips. Overall, both Phil and Strive2Drive have given me the confidence now to be a good driver.

I had the fortune of receiving assistance from two great Strive to Drive instructors, Fraser the Clown and Paul the Calm. My initial intention was to have an instructor who would help me pass my test as I already had a few hours under my belt. But what they helped me discover was that it was not so much my skills that needed attention it was my confidence. These great guys helped build my confidence through their fountain of patience, knowledge and humor. My little Mazda and I just want to give Fraser and Paul a big THANK YOU for believing that I can do it! Still recommending you guys to everyone and forever grateful,

Just wanted to say thankyou for my instructor Raylene. I've had the biggest fear of driving for the past 9years and gone through almost 6 instructors before coming to Strive to Drive. From the first lesson Raylene made me feel so comfortable and has really taught me not only the skills I need to drive under a host of different circumstances but to believe in myself.
That confidence has allowed me to go for my license in the next few weeks and now I LOVE driving. Never thought I would see the day. If it wasn't for Raylene I think I would be catching public transport for the rest of my life - she is a god sent!

Just want to say a big thanks to George Lee. I came to Melbourne, Australia six months ago from Vietnam. I have never been behind the wheel in my life so I could only rely on public transportation for traveling around here. With my wife and my daughter coming over here soon, I have vowed to myself that I had to get the P2 license as quick as possible. George has helped to achieve that. I got the license this week after just about 3 months learning with George. He has taught me from nothing to everything I need not only to pass the driving test but also to drive safely on my own later on. I would highly recommend George to anyone who is in similar situation like mine. And believe me, you can pass the first time with George from nothing!

I would like to give my gratitude to my driving instructor Sandro who taught me to drive manual and pass my test in Victoria yesterday. I normally drove automatic at home, but I had lessons on a manual and thanks to Sandro I was able to pass my manual test first time round. Despite the number of times I put us in dangerous situations, Sandro always remained calm (unlike my parents) and told me what I did wrong and how I could do better next time. Thanks to him I feel I am a more confident and safer driver than I would otherwise have been, and with better knowledge of the rules or the road and how to deal with various situations. I have recommended and will continue to recommend strive2drive for anyone who needs to learn to drive, as these lessons teach you not just how to drive, but how to drive safely and well. Thank you Sandro!

I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to Rex for being such a fantastic driving instructor – he is really a knowledgeable, patient & thorough instructor & added bonus, he has a great sense of humour as well 😉 I passed my P's two weeks ago & haven't looked back! At age 37 with 2 small kids I don't know how I managed before to be honest. No more public transport & pushing prams in the rain for me 😃 I highly recommend Strive2Drive & Rex to anyone looking for a reliable, patient instructor.

As an older learner driver (40+) I was very nervous about getting my licence but my Strive2Drive instructor, Sylvio was fantastic. I passed my test last week and I know it's because Sylvio gave me the confidence to drive with confidence. I can't recommend him highly enough.

Big thanks to Paul from Strive2Drive for helping me get my license. I just a want to say a great service and instructor that Strive2Drive has. I wasn't very confident in driving and didn't know the rules. My instructor Paul, was very helpful and understanding with that. He helped me build up confidence and understand the road laws that needed to be obeyed. He helped me explain how things work and was very supportive when there were times; I just panicked or felt nervous with my driving skills. I always felt relaxed when he was teaching and he has helped me improve my driving skills with each lesson. I would highly recommend Strive2Drive and the instructor Paul, as your choice when it comes to choosing the right driving school. Great service, great instructor and great school. Highly Recommended!

Hi Strive2Drive,
I would like to thank you for introducing me to my instructor Joe. I've been quite hesitant in getting my license as I was always scared of all the dangers of driving and wasn't confident with my driving. Joe is extremely friendly and he is very easy going. Never did I feel uncomfortable whilst he was teaching me and my anxieties with driving got better with every lesson. Any question I asked he would be able to answer as well. Today I am happy to say that I passed my test with a great deal of help and support from Joe. I would recommend him to anyone.
